Personal data
Personal data are data about your person. This includes your name, address and email address. You do not have to disclose any personal data to visit our website. In some cases we need your name and address as well as other information to be able to offer you the requested service.
The same applies in the case that we supply you with information material on request or when we answer your inquiries. In these cases we will always point this out to you. In addition, we only store the data that you have transmitted to us automatically or voluntarily.
When you use one of our services, we usually only collect the data that is necessary to provide you with our service. We may ask you for additional information, but this is voluntary. Whenever we process personal data, we do so to provide you with our service or to pursue our commercial objectives.
Contacting
When contacting us (e.g. via contact form, email, telephone or via social media), the information of the inquiring persons is processed, if necessary in order to respond to the requests and to any requested actions.
The response to the contact inquiries in the context of contractual or pre-contractual relationships is carried out to fulfill our contractual obligations or to respond to (pre)contractual inquiries and otherwise on the basis of legitimate interests in responding to the inquiries.
- Types of data processed: inventory data (e.g. names, addresses), contact data (e.g. e-mail, telephone numbers), content data (e.g. entries in online forms)
- Data subjects: Communication partners
- Purposes of processing: contact requests and communication
- Legal basis: Contract performance and pre-contractual inquiries (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b. GDPR), Legitimate interests (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f. GDPR)
Automatically stored data
Server log files
The provider of the pages automatically collects and stores information in so-called server log files, which your browser automatically transmits to us. These are:
- Date and time of the request
- Name of the requested file
- Page from which the file was requested
- Access status (file transferred, file not found, etc.)
- Web browser and operating system used
- Complete IP address of the requesting computer
- Amount of data transferred
This data is not merged with other data sources. The processing is carried out in accordance with Art. 6 (1) lit. f GDPR on the basis of our legitimate interest in improving the stability and functionality of our website.
For reasons of technical security, in particular to defend against attempted attacks on our web server, we store this data for a short period of time. It is not possible for us to draw conclusions about individual persons on the basis of this data. After seven days at the latest, the data is anonymized by shortening the IP address at domain level, so that it is no longer possible to establish a link to the individual user. The data is also processed anonymously for statistical purposes; it is not compared with other data or passed on to third parties, even in part. Only within the context of our server statistics, which we publish every two years in our activity report, is a presentation of the number of page views made.
Cookies
When you visit our website, we may store information on your computer in the form of cookies. Many cookies contain a so-called cookie ID. A cookie ID is a unique identifier of the cookie. It consists of a string of characters by which Internet pages and servers can be assigned to the specific Internet browser in which the cookie was stored. This enables the visited Internet pages and servers to distinguish the individual browser of the data subject from other Internet browsers that contain other cookies. A specific Internet browser can be recognized and identified via the unique cookie ID.
Through the use of session cookies, the responsible party can provide the users of this website with a user-friendly service that would not be possible without the cookie setting. Without consent, we only use technically necessary cookies on the legal basis of legitimate interest pursuant to Art. 6 (1) lit. f GDPR.
Google Ads
The website operator uses Google Ads. Google Ads is an online advertising program of Google
Ireland Limited ("Google"), Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland.
Google Ads enables us to display advertisements in the Google search engine or on third party websites when the user enters certain search terms on Google (keyword targeting). Furthermore, targeted advertisements can be played on the basis of the user data available at Google (e. g.
location data and interests) can be displayed (target group targeting). We as website operator
can evaluate this data quantitatively by analyzing, for example, which search terms led to the display of our ads and how many ads led to corresponding clicks.
The use of this service is based on your consent in accordance with Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. a GDPR and 25 Para. 1 TTDSG. The consent can be revoked at any time. Data transfer to the USA is based on the standard contractual clauses of the EU Commission. Details can be found here:

SOCIAL PLUGINS OF FACEBOOK, INSTAGRAM, LINKEDIN, ETC.
Social buttons from social networks are used on our website. These are only integrated into the page as HTML links, so that when you call up our website, no connection is yet established with the servers of the respective provider. If you click on one of the buttons, the website of the respective social network opens in a new window of your browser. There you can, for example, press the Like or Share button.
Brevo - Newsletter
This website uses Brevo to send newsletters. The provider is Sendinblue GmbH, Köpenicker Straße 126, 10179 Berlin.
Brevo is a service that, among other things, allows for the organization and analysis of newsletter campaigns. The data you provide to subscribe to the newsletter is stored on the servers of Sendinblue GmbH in Germany.
Brevo enables us to analyze our newsletter campaigns. For example, we can see whether a newsletter was opened and which links, if any, were clicked. This allows us, among other things, to determine which links were clicked particularly frequently.
We can also determine whether certain predefined actions were taken after the newsletter was opened or a link was clicked (conversion rate). For example, we can determine whether you made a purchase after clicking a link in the newsletter.
Brevo also allows us to categorize (“cluster”) newsletter recipients into different groups. For example, newsletter recipients can be grouped by age, gender, or place of residence. This allows us to better tailor the newsletter to the respective target audience.
If you do not wish to be analyzed by Brevo, you must unsubscribe from the newsletter. We provide a link for this purpose in every newsletter message.
For detailed information on Brevo’s features, please visit the following link: https://www.brevo.com/de/newsletter-software/.
Data processing is based on your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). You may withdraw this consent at any time. The lawfulness of data processing operations that have already taken place remains unaffected by this revocation.
Data that you have provided to us for the purpose of sending the newsletter will be stored by us or the newsletter service provider until you unsubscribe from the newsletter and will be deleted from the newsletter distribution list after you unsubscribe. Data stored by us for other reasons remains unaffected by this.
After you unsubscribe from the newsletter distribution list, your email address may be added to a blacklist maintained by us or the newsletter service provider, to the extent necessary to prevent future mailings. The data from the blacklist is used exclusively for this purpose and is not combined with other data. This serves both your and our interest in complying with legal requirements regarding the distribution of newsletters (legitimate interest pursuant to Art. 6(1)(f) of the GDPR). Data is stored on the blacklist indefinitely. You may object to this storage provided that your legitimate interests outweigh our legitimate interests.
For more information, please refer to Brevo’s privacy policy at: https://www.brevo.com/de/datenschutz-uebersicht/ and https://www.brevo.com/de/legal/privacypolicy/.
We have entered into a Data Processing Agreement (DPA) for the use of the aforementioned service. This is a contract required under data protection law that ensures that Brevo processes the personal data of our website visitors only in accordance with our instructions and in compliance with the GDPR.
