Mechanical Design Engineer - Custom Machinery (m/f/d)

Your Responsibilities

• You develop technical concepts based on customer requirements and input from Sales and Product Management for inert gas enclosures, gas purification systems, functional coatings and laboratory automation
• You design and engineer the corresponding systems, coordinating their functions and requirements with other specialist departments such as Electrical Engineering, Software, Documentation and Service
• In collaboration with our technical product designers, you prepare all required manufacturing documentation within the specified deadlines
• You serve as the technical point of contact for Production and Assembly regarding the solutions you have developed
• You continuously contribute to process improvements as well as quality and inventory management

Your Profile for This Position

• You have successfully completed a university degree in mechanical engineering or a comparable discipline
• You have practical experience in mechanical design, preferably in custom machinery or plant engineering
• You are proficient in 3D CAD software, ideally Creo Parametric, and confident in using Microsoft Office applications
• You have a good understanding of process engineering piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs) and are accustomed to working in accordance with established standards and regulations
• You have a good command of written and spoken German and English
• You are motivated, determined and solution-oriented. You enjoy working both independently and as part of a team and consider commercial aspects alongside technical requirements
