Regular Calibration for Precise Measurement Results
Oxygen and moisture sensors continuously monitor the atmosphere inside your glovebox. They display the current O₂ and H₂O levels, enabling reliable monitoring of sensitive processes in the ppm range. Only accurate sensor readings allow the stability of the inert gas atmosphere to be reliably assessed.
Annual calibration is essential because sensors naturally drift over time. Aging, process conditions, and environmental influences can cause displayed values to deviate from the actual atmospheric conditions. Even minor measurement deviations can lead to undesirable results when working with sensitive materials or research processes.
For this reason, MBRAUN recommends annual calibration of both oxygen and moisture sensors.
Sensor Calibration
If your glovebox can operate without the sensor for a short period, simply send it to MBRAUN for professional calibration according to our factory standards. After calibration, the same sensor, is returned fully calibrated and ready for use.
The service includes a Calibration Certificate. Upon request, an Initial Value Certificate can also be provided, documenting the sensor’s measurement deviation before calibration.
Important Information:
Before the calibration can be performed, a Decontamination Declaration must be completed and submitted to MBRAUN for every sensor sent in for calibration. This declaration protects our employees by confirming that the device is free from hazardous substances.

Once MBRAUN has reviewed and approved the declaration, you will receive all further instructions regarding the return shipment of your sensors.
