Safe Drying and Purification of Solvents
Our Solvent Purification Systems (SPS) provide ultra-dry solvents with moisture levels in the ppm range. They enable efficient drying and purification of solvents without the need for complex glassware or hazardous heating procedures. By eliminating the use of pyrophoric drying agents such as sodium or potassium, the risk of fire and explosion is significantly reduced.
Unlike traditional distillation using Schlenk techniques, MBRAUN SPS systems utilize highly efficient purification columns that directly remove water and oxygen contaminants from the solvent. When required, the SPS-5 and SPS-7 solvent purification systems can be seamlessly integrated into a closed glovebox environment, ensuring the highest levels of safety, efficiency, and sustainability.
