MBRAUN Pre-Treatment
Ovens
High Uniformity of Temperature Drying System
A new purging oven for the temperature treatment (drying)
of thin glass substrates was designed and built up at
MBRAUN. The oven is designed
for very high temperature uniformity during the heating
process.
It has a special double-wall design that allows an efficient
cooling of the oven body to reach short total process
times. During the process, purge gas (Nitrogen or Argon)
is flushed through the oven. This leads to efficient drying
of the substrates. After the heating process, the inner
atmosphere has an Oxygen concentration in the lower ppm-range,
which allows the opening to an attached inert-atmosphere
enclosure

Vacuum Dryer
This unit is designed to remove moisture from the glass
surface.
Multiple shelves inside the vacuum oven can hold several
glasses so that the oven is run batch-wise. The oven is
integrated in the rear wall of the glove box to provide
enough
space for the operators manual work area.
